to those that do protection work

Do you really do this because of safety issues as far as guarding a house business etc.
or do it just to ad title to the dogs resume?

I do it for fun....the dogs have fun and they are learning at the same time.

I am like Susan in that i do it for fun. Training dogs to me is like playing golf or fishing is to others...a hobby.

With that said, I think it is an excellent test of character! Especially when it comes to "guardian" type breeds like this. It's amazing what this training can teach you about your dog, if you want to expose any holes in your dogs temperament, protection training is definitely a good way to do it!
