How well is your dog trained under certain circumstances

Post by JSAN_911 on Sat Aug 18, 2012 9:09 am

Lets talk about total control.

The HALT.
i seen training videos where is like a funny episode of dogs gone wild.
How hard is to have 110% control of your dog at any situation?
How hard is to lead your dog.. dominance control?

I seen dogs like that. They listen to their owners every word. Its constant training.

You know us prs we talk with our hands. Alot of times when i talk to the dogs, i use hand signals. I want to have a dog trained solely on hand signals. Thats gotta take alot of work.

lol i agree.
my tomahulk dog no lie susan i had him trained to face expression, that was my #1 dog, i say he was 1150% trained to the core, i spent hours days months years with this dog, my tomahulk R.I.P was the baddest apbt around. on command i had this dog sit stay i could of walked 2 blocks and that dog was still in same place where i left him at.. he loved cats and squirels on comand i use to tell him leave it, and he would just wine and stared at me and starded at cats and squarel like saying dady pls let me have them. lol that was pure dedication and training, my wife at times was jelous saying im spending to much time with him. that was my top not top trainded top condition dog i ever own, he was ripped up to the core, this boy would give me easy 5 8 miles once training sesion without any issues>RIP tomahulk i would never or could ever compare a dog to him.

Sounded like a great dog. Hope whatever dog you get next is better or tries hard to be.

IMO, alot of people think their dog is trained because they play with them with some bite toy... but that is not true control. My dogs play great, I can get them to go after a bite toy release, sit, stay, hit the toy again, and repeat. But if and when they want to show dominance, it takes true control to out them, and honestly my dogs don't have it. But I also know that and don't pretend they are poodles. ABs are naturally stubborn and dominant, that doesn't help them any.
